Hello Friends.

My name is Jessica and I am the author and creative behind this food blog. I want to share a little bit about me so you can get to know me. Here in this little space on the internet I am sharing my favorite recipes and foods that I hope you will also enjoy.

Growing up, I always had a garden that my dad planted, and as I got older, I joined in and began helping him. I even grew my own little herb garden. I grew an appreciation for where my food comes from and I grew to love vegetables, especially home-grown ones. I studied nutrition in college and grew an even greater appreciation for plants and their role in our diet and in creating a more sustainable world.

The recipes on this site are primarily made from scratch. I love coffee, tea, and baking sourdough bread and share a lot of sourdough discard recipes. Although I am not a vegan, I do have some dietary restrictions in my family so I often share egg free and dairy free recipes or write in a substitution for these ingredients in my recipes. My hope is that you and your family enjoy these delicious recipes so much that you won’t even realize they don’t have these ingredients.
